At ERPN, we connect researchers with schools to work together in a collaborative, shared space; transforming teachers and school leaders’ experience of the research knowledge and process. Some current collaborations include:
AI and the City
A collaborative research project conducted by a researcher from Southampton Education School and a team of deputy headteachers from local schools. This project is exploring how teachers in local schools are using AI in their practice and how this might be shaping their professional identity. The outcomes of this project will be used to inform school AI policy and staff development for our local schools.
Girls Impact Hub
This project brings together a teacher educator/researcher from Southampton Education School with leader from the local authority advisory service and an experienced educational psychologist to explore barriers to girls’ attendance in the local area. Outcomes from this project will be used to support developments and approaches in schools to supporting girls to improve their attendance.
School research consultancy
Independent advice and guidance is given to schools who are already research active and keen to design rigorous and ethically secure school based research.
Supporting research literacy and criticality
This project brings together a teacher researcher from Southampton Education School and ECTs to develop research literacy to support their practice based inquiry.
