Education Research Practice Network (ERPN)
Our vision
To create a strong partnership between research and practice. By connecting teachers, school leaders, researchers and education professionals, we support evidence-informed approaches that improve learning and outcomes for children and young people.
What we do
Why ERPN?
ERPN is more than a research dissemination network. It provides a collaborative space where educators and researchers work together, supporting teachers to engage with, contribute to and lead research that informs practice.
ERPN at Southampton Education School
ERPN is based within Southampton Education School at the University of Southampton, drawing on internationally recognised research and strong partnerships with schools and education settings. Our work is informed by research from specialist centres focusing on inclusion, leadership, policy, mathematics and science education.
Southampton Education School is recognised as one of the UK’s leading centres for education research. In REF 2021, 82% of the School’s research publications were rated as internationally excellent or world-leading, with research making a significant contribution to educational policy and practice nationally and internationally. The School ranks 23rd nationally for education research and is home to research centres focusing on inclusion, leadership and policy, and mathematics, science and health education.

ERPN SEND conference, it was absolutely amazing and so informative. To be honest, it was the best conference/workshop I have ever attended. Please let us know any information on future events I would highly recommend them – they had an honest approach!
